Goodbye, and good luck!

For the past two years, I have been trying to operate The Atlanta Sentinel as an alternative for local news and/or entertainment in Atlanta. It had been fun to do this. Unfortunately, I have not been able to secure advertising to keep this site operating, and I am currently developing projects with better profit potential. (Gotta eat!) For this reason, I am discontinuing this site. I would like to that the visitors who have supported this site. I will soon be launching a new project, Apartment467.com soon. Hopefully you will visit this site.

Again, thank you for the support.

Music Monday: The Playlist (Ol’ School Edition)

Sorry that I have been quite lax about keeping up with this blog. Business and personal affairs have kept me from giving it the attention it deserves.

Earlier Playlists have been mostly about rock and alternative music. Today, I am kicking it old school. To you unhip cats, that’s the Dance/Funk jams of the 70’s to the 80’s. I got a few hot vids to get you up to speed. Then it’s on you to go to Itunes or You Tube to hear or buy these jams for yourself. Now, let’s jam!

Lakeside “Fantastic Voyage”

Michael Jackson “The Way You Make Me Feel”

Cameo “Word Up”

The Gap Band “Burn Rubber”

Imagination “Just An Illusion”

Yabourogh & Peoples “Don’t Stop The Music”

The Brothers Johnson “Stomp”

Junior “Mama Used To Say”

Earth Wind And Fire “Let’s Groove”

The SOS Band “Just The Way You Like It”

Want More…stay tuned!

TI Saves Jumper/ TV tuned to Chile Miners / John Pruitt Retires

As I write this, it’s 30 and counting Chile miners that have been pulled from a mine they were trapped in for more than 60 days. The world is trained on the rescue world wide, but at the evening rush here in Atlanta, attention was diverted to a man who threatened to jump from the 22 story Colony Square  office building in Midtown. It just so happened that Tip Harris, (BKA TI) was in the area and he help to talk the man out of jumping from the building. WVEE FM is inside the building and DJ Ryan Cameron was reporting on the incident as it happened. WSB TV reported on it at 5pm.

It was also announced today that longtime anchor/reporter John Pruitt is retiring. He currently co-hosts the evening news on WSB TV 2 with Monica Pherson. He also worked for a time at WXIA TV.

Ether you love their moody piano-rock infused style or you don’t. But one thing can be said about this English band: There music has given them millions of fans around the world and have given the world numerous imitations.  Their first hit “Yellow” would set the stage for a so far decades worth of dominance for this band.
